Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the embeds on my blog or news site for free?

Yes. All embed widgets are free to use with the included ALA attribution. No signup, no permission, no restrictions on where you embed them. Just copy the embed code and paste it into your HTML.

What's included in the JSON API?

The API provides the complete dataset: all 50 governors, all 263 metrics each, every evidence snippet and source link. Available at /governors/data/summary.json (overview) and /governors/data/governors/{slug}.json (individual).

How often is the data updated?

Quarterly at minimum, with additional updates for significant events (elections, policy changes, court rulings). The evaluation date for each governor is shown on their individual page.

Can I remove the attribution from embeds?

Yes, with the All-Access plan ($299/yr). Standard plan embeds include a small "Data by Advanced Learning Academy" credit that cannot be removed.

Who created this evaluation?
